What are you doing now? My current employer is Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Contract Officer for Hazardous Materials. I teach ballroon, swing and latin dancing for couples as a paarttime job and am always looking for a good dance partner.
I live outside of Denver about 1 hour so I do not have to put up with the out of control growth that Denver has. I hope everyone is doing well and take care out there!

In July 1965, I married my sweetheart, James R. Shepherd. We moved to Utah in April 1966. I have four wonderful children, one of which my husband and I live with in Gridley, Ca. We are retired now. I also have two biological grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.

High School Highlights/Memories: At the time of graduation I was living with my grandparent, L.J. and Berth Mayden. About a year and half after graduation, I returned to my parents' home in Lincoln where I attended a business school.

What are you doing now? Other than a short period of time I was out of the field due to corporate cut-backs, I have been in the animal health (vaccines for livestock and pets) business since 1968. Currently I am working as a consultant for Fort Dodge Animal Health in Overland Park, Kansas. After 30+ years in the same house in Omaha, we have put that one on the market and moved to Olathe, KS. My plan is to continue working until about 2010 and then truly retire. As time (and funds) permit, I collect glass telephone and telegraph insulators (you may remember that my father was with the telephone company). I also do woodworking projects. Also, as you may understand, a great deal of spare time is spent with our two grandson's, Nathan (8) and Barret (1.)
Highlights/Memories: There are numerous highlights, but the ones that stand out are cruising main street, working at Safeway, Typing class (I never did learn to type without watching my fingers), drivers education, drag races at Julesburg and the note someone wrote in my senior annual; "Your love for guinea pigs will take you a long way."

What are you doing now? I’m a writer, and part time writing teacher; scientist by nature. For the last few months I’ve been working on both my third young adult novel as well as another novel. Following the pattern set in my childhood, I seem to move a lot. This is more exciting than aggravating to me, although I envy my Ogallala schoolmates who’ve found full lives and contentment right on their doorstep. I have wonderful children who live near me in the Northwest, as does my sister Ingrid (Kathy), who also went to school in Ogallala. I’ve had decades of interesting marriages, and now am happily, again, living on my own. I remember my years in Ogallala in the warmest terms imaginable.
Now living in Portland Oregon.
