Marine Capt. Travis A. Ford, 30, of Oceanside, Calif was killed on April 4, 2003 when his AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter crashed during combat operations near Ali-Ariziyal, Iraq. Assigned to the Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) - 267, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Camp Pendleton, Calif. Travis, a 1991 graduate of Ogallala High School and a 1996 graduate of UNL, is survived by his wife, 28-year-old Deon, a 1 year old daughter, 4 brothers and his mother.
